Lower and Upper Summit Lakes are alder and willow edge habitats next to open alpine slopes in the northeast Kenai Peninsula. The still water provided a nice mirror reflection.

Pickhandle Lake is a lovely spot along the Alaska Highway in the Yukon Territory, Canada. This area has been used a trade and gathering area by the First Nation Peoples for many generations.
The Alcan Highway follows most of the southern border of Kluane Lake, the largest lake in the Yukon Territory. The still water provided spectacular reflections.
Muncho Lake is located at mile 23 of the Alaska Highway, along the Trout River. The unusual color of the lake is attributed to the leaching of copper oxide from the bedrock below.
A small glacial lake along the Icefields Parkway. There are views of the Bow Glacier and the Crowfoot Glacier. I am still amazed by turquoise colored ice.
A look up into the snow storm dropping over the mountains. I was worried that I might need chains later in the day, but, fortunately, that didn’t happen. The storm added drama to an already magnificent view.
