This was a 2.5 second exposure at f/11. I wanted to keep the shutter open to blur the water and mist. I liked the effect against the solidity of the rocky shore. December 4, 2007.
This was near the beginning of more than a decade of inspiration found at the beaches, the jetty and the slough near Moss Landing, California. I was attracted by the colorful cloud reflections from the wet sand. Sunset, December, 2004.
Still looking for a campsite for the night, we had to pull over for this sunset. This was several miles north of Hectea Head and just south of Florence. The fog quickly swallowed up the color. This light lasted less than five minutes.
