A variety of photographs from eastern Washington, Port Defiance Park in Tacoma, Seattle, and the Puget Sound. No rhyme or reason, just scenes that caught my eye. Some are from the Palouse, an extensive region of dry land crop farming in southeastern Washington and northern Idaho. Hills and hollows, grasslands and undulating plateaus, steptoe buttes and basalt plains make up the countryside. Crops planted on contoured hills create patterns, textures and designs. Farms, barns, small towns, grain elevators, all provide material for composition. A photographer's dream.
