Alaska is a state of superlatives. It is the largest state, has the longest coastline, the tallest mountain. Alaska is the least populated state; wildlife abounds. Mountains and glaciers, volcanos and tundra, Alaska is breathtaking, a photographer's paradise. The photographs below are from multiple visits, including an overland adventure through the Canadian Rockies and the Yukon to Anchorage. They include photographs of the Kenai Peninsula, Valdez, the Richardson Highway, Talkeetna and the McKinley Range, Prince William Sound and the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. The photographs of the St. Elias Range were taken during three different flights in a bush plane
