A Look Back—Motion Blur
Experiments with intentional blur, using an aperture of f/13 and an exposure of 1.6 seconds. These were of a variety of flowers in my garden. I found some abstractsp leasing. December, 2009

Road Trip–Shepperd’s Dell
This is one of the smaller and less well known falls in the Columbia River Gorge. In fact, I had driven by this several times over the years without seeing it. It is quite lovely.

Road Trip–Multonomah Falls
My trip took me from central Oregon to Portland along the Columbia River. Multonomah Falls are the best known of the Columbia River Gorge waterfalls. There was less water in the falls in October of a dry year, but still they are beautiful.

I used a telephoto lens to isolate a detail of Wahkeena Falls. Wahkeena is one of the smaller falls along the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon.

Multonomah Falls
Multonomah Falls are the best known of the Columbia River Gorge waterfalls. They receive many thousands of visitors each year. This was a 3 second exposure and, obligingly, the couple on the bridge did not move.

Horsetail Falls
Horsetail Falls is one of several spectacular waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. I used a Variable Neutral Density filter to slow the shutter speed to 6 seconds to create the blur of the falling water.

Stream and Boulders
Water flows steadily and gracefully around large granite boulders on Ten Mile stream in Kings Canyon Park. Shutter speed was 2.5 seconds.
