Death Valley is a visual feast. Earthquake faults, mountain ranges and basins, salt pans, sand dunes, badlands, painted rocks and craters compete for attention. A challenge for the photographer is the size of Death Valley, nearly 3000 square miles. Travel can be time consuming and the opportunities for favorable light limited, but the harsh beauty is addictive. These shots are just a sample from Death Valley's Zabriskie Point, Artist's Palette, Titus Canyon, Golden Canyon, Mosaic Canyon and Badwater.
