A Look Back—Bridalveil Fall
A detail of the mist and spray generated by Bridalveil Fall. When the waterfall is flowing at its peak in the spring of a wet year, it is nearly impossible to reach the base of the fall without getting soaked.

A Look Back—Yosemite Waterfalls
I am sure many millions of photos have been taken from this very same viewpoint, but this was my first trip to Yosemite in the spring. I was amazed by the volume of water going over the falls. May 23, 2006.

Road Trip–Shepperd’s Dell
This is one of the smaller and less well known falls in the Columbia River Gorge. In fact, I had driven by this several times over the years without seeing it. It is quite lovely.

Road Trip–Multonomah Falls
My trip took me from central Oregon to Portland along the Columbia River. Multonomah Falls are the best known of the Columbia River Gorge waterfalls. There was less water in the falls in October of a dry year, but still they are beautiful.
