Humbug Mountain is 6 miles south of Port Orford, Oregon, along Highway 101. Humbug Mountain is 1,756 feet in elevation and drops dramatically to the Pacific.
A view of the Talkeetna River and miles of trees turning color. Mt. McKinley is sixty miles away. The trees seemed to turn color all at the same time. To see them from the air was very impressive.
Rugged peaks descend to the Ruth Glacier in the McKinley Range. The turquoise color on the lower left is a small landlocked lake formed by glacier melt.
