Favorite Images From 2011–Dog On The Beach

Photograph of a dog in front of a large wave at Moss Landing Beach, CaliforniaBefore 2012 fades away, I thought I would look back to a few personal favorite images from 2011 that I haven’t posted here already. 2011 was a productive and prolific year. I added 11,897 images to my catalog. Many came from my trip to Alaska and Canada, and many were bracketed exposures, multiple exposures of the same scene taken at different shutter speeds. I added another large number to separate catalogs for clients or specific assignments. The posts that follow are from my personal catalog and the only criteria they meet is that I like them.

This was taken in January, 2011, at Moss Landing Beach, California.

California Waves — Dog in Surf

Photograph of a dog running in the surf at Moss Landing, CaliforniaThis has been a popular print at Art shows. I am always asked if this is my dog. It would make a better story, perhaps, if it was, but it isn’t my dog. I saw it trotting through the edge of the surf and managed a quick shot before it was gone. Taken at Moss Landing Beach, January 2005.
