A view of the Talkeetna River and miles of trees turning color. Mt. McKinley is sixty miles away. The trees seemed to turn color all at the same time. To see them from the air was very impressive.

The Ruth Glacier
Rugged peaks descend to the Ruth Glacier in the McKinley Range. The turquoise color on the lower left is a small landlocked lake formed by glacier melt.

Snow Peak from McKinley Range
One of many shots taken from a small plane flying from Talkeetna to a landing on the Ruth Glacier in the McKinley Range, Alaska. I sat in the co-pilot’s seat and was able to shoot through the front windshield as well as the side window.
