It is a popular ski resort with trailheads and opportunities for cross-country skiing, hiking and snowboarding. The trees disappeared up into the clouds on this day in late December.</p>

The little tree seemed sad surrounded by so much water. I liked the reflections of the clouds and the other trees. Five bracketed exposures blended together.</p>

June Lake, Grant Lake, Silver Lake and Gull Lake are part  of the loop. These aspen were along the shore of June Lake.</p>

It is the site of an old gold mining town, Lundy. The canyon is spectacular in October as the aspen change color.</p>
