kachemak Bay is to the southwest side of the Kenai Peninsula and is part of the larger Cook Inlet in Alaska. Low tide exposed the many rocks and gravel near the beach.

They occur most frequently around dusk or dawn when contrasts are most apparent. Crepuscular is the Latin word for twilight.

This was taken in March, 2011, at Asilomar Beach, California.
